BTICINO PHILIPPINES DONATES TO KATHAGOMBALAY PROJECT OF ALTERPLAN
On August 15, 2025, ALTERPLAN a technical service NGO, successfully received a donation from Bticino Philippines for their Kathagombalay project. This meaningful partnership will benefit conflict-affected families in Marawi.
The Kathagombalay initiative (a Maranao word for “rebuilding”) provides building materials to over 800 families who are members of Lombay Ka Marawi-the largest group of internally displaced persons from the
2017-armed conflict in Marawi City. Last July, Bticino Philippines, a brand of Legrand Group and a global specialist in electrical and digital infrastructures, joined this community-based initiative and generously donated slow-moving items, from switches to cover plates, valuing over PHP 97,000.00
FairBuilding Network is excited about this successful transaction between one of our active Industry Partners and Social Building Developers. We can’t wait to see how this collaboration will materialize in the next few months and be used in ALTERPLAN’s house strengthening program for our fellow Marawi IDPs.
This initiative is part of FairBuilding’s program, which encourages Industry Partners to donate or sell their slow-moving items to NGO partners for their low-cost or housing projects for marginalized communities. It is a step toward sustainability and building fairer communities.
Join the network and help us build a fairer future, one project at a time.
