FAIRBUILDING NETWORK AWARDS 2019: CELEBRATING CONSTRUCTION WITH A CONSCIENCE

Gold Partner awardees together with FBN Founder, Dr. Matthias Krups

On November 20th, FairBuilding Network (FBN) celebrated 5 years of successful collaboration with social building and industry partners to advance the housing needs of the poor at the 3rd FairBuilding Awards 2019 under the banner of Celebrating Construction with a Conscience.

More than 200 representatives from the construction industry, the social housing sector, and Non-Government Organizations attended the festive gala dinner that was held at the Makati Diamond Residences. Over an exclusive four-course dinner, 15 Industry Partners from the construction sector were recognized as Gold Partner Awardees.

The Gold Partner Award is given to construction companies who showed genuine concern for disadvantaged communities. These companies demonstrated their commitment by either providing in-kind donations or substantial discounts on their products in a transaction with our NGO partners, who are the enablers of building projects at the bottom of the pyramid.

Exhibitors and NGO Partners

FairBuilding Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) like Save the Children, Concordia Children’s Services, Inc., Church of the Nazarene, SPECS Foundation, Base Bahay, Kanlungan sa Er-Ma, SAFER, Bert Lozada Foundation, Pangarap Foundation and World Wide Fund for Nature, were able to set up booths before the main event to display their key programs and some of their social enterprise ventures. This paved the way for our industry partners to get to know our NGO partners and understand their role in making a direct impact on those most in need.

What We are Celebrating

FairBuilding Network’s long-term vision is to connect people and organizations in order to facilitate opportunities for the benefit of those most in need. For the last five years, we wanted to make a difference for the life of people at the bottom of the pyramid and we are glad to celebrate the fruit of our efforts.

To date, our network has enabled roughly 35 million PHP savings for construction and building materials needed by our partner NGOs. These have been made possible through the generosity and willingness to do good of 17 construction companies in the Philippines.

We have also established relationships and signed Memorandum of Understanding with 63 not-for-profit organizations. To achieve these results, our key activities to facilitate opportunities include conducting Engagement Forums, gathering and distributing information about the latest NGO projects on our FBN platforms, telling success stories via social media and newsletters.

welcome.
