Re-build Philippines, Habitat’s Shelter Response to help Families affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) and Bohol Earthquake.

  • Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Response:

Distribution of shelter pair kits for 30,000 families, and building 30,000 core house/shelter units.  Amount as follows:

  • Shelter Repair Kit – P 15,000.00 (Fiber Cement Boards , Good Lumber/  Plyboards , Corrugated GI Sheets, Nails, Hammer, Hand Saw, Roof Sealant, and Sand/ Cement)
  • Core house/shelter – P 200,000.00 (Housing Parameters a structure that can be resilient to an Intensity 8 earthquake & 250 kph wind speed)
  • Bohol Earthquake Response:

Building of 8,083 core house or shelter to families affected in support of Padayon Bohol. Amount as follows:

  • Core house/shelter – P 120,000 (Housing Parameters a structure that can be resilient to an Intensity 8 earthquake & 250 kph wind speed)
 FairBuilding Network signed an MoU with Habitat for Humanity in March 2014.
