Giving Hope by Building Classrooms

Last August 2, 2018 (Friday), another successful Engagement Forum was held with Friends of Hope, Inc.

Friends of Hope is a non-profit organization on a quest to ensure that Filipinos can achieve their full potential and prosper. They invest donations from their affiliate company, Generation Hope, and their partners in education and agriculture initiatives across the Philippines.

Friends of Hope build classrooms all over the Philippines. Why classrooms? The classroom shortage is a real problem in our country. Every day, thousands of Filipino children still go to school without a proper classroom. They study in cramped environments or under the heat of the sun, resulting in lower achievement and lower engagement levels. This is also the reason why classroom shortage should be given more attention.

And through the Engagement Forum, we were able to introduce Friends of Hope’s advocacy to different construction companies. The event highlighted the organization’s classroom building projects located mostly in Marawi City, Lanao del Norte.
The Engagement Forum was attended by the following companies:

  • Bticino
  • Robinsons Builders
  • Absolute Industrial Solution
  • 8MM Marketing
  • Delta Lighting
  • Floor Center
  • Excel Roof

The forum resulted in the commitment of Bticino and Robinsons Builder’s to donate electrical materials and tiles respectively. The construction of classrooms shall be completed in December 2018.
