FairBuilding Awards 2018

18 Gold Partner Awardees with FairBuilding Network Founder, Dr. Matthias Krups

On April 19th, FairBuilding Network (FBN) celebrated four years of successful collaboration with social building and industry partners to advance the housing needs of the poor at the 2nd FairBuilding Awards 2018 under the banner of Celebrating Construction with a Conscience.

More than 150 representatives from the construction industry, social housing sector, and Non-Government Organizations attended the festive gala dinner that was held at the Makati Diamond Residences. Over an exclusive five-course dinner 18 Industry Partners from the construction sector were recognized as Gold Partner Awardees.

The Gold Partner Award is given to construction companies who showed genuine concern for disadvantaged communities. These companies demonstrated their commitment by either providing in-kind donations or substantial discounts on their products in a transaction with our NGO partners, who are the enablers of building projects at the bottom of the pyramid.

FairBuilding supporter, Boysen, and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) like Virlanie Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines, Base Bahay, Build Change and Tindig Marawi were able to set up booths before the main event to display their key programs and some of their social enterprise ventures. This paved way for our industry partners to get to know our NGO partners and understand their role in making direct impact to those most in need.

We are Celebrating!

FairBuilding Network’s long-term vision is to connect people and organizations in order to facilitate opportunities for the benefit of those most in need. For the last four years, we wanted to make a difference for the life of people at the bottom of the pyramid and we are glad to celebrate the fruit of our efforts. To date, our network has enabled 9.3 million php savings for construction and building materials needed by our partner NGOs. These have been made possible through the generosity and willingness to do good of 18 construction companies in the Philippines. We have also established relationships and signed Memorandum of Understanding with 21 not-for-profit organizations. To achieve these results, our key activities to facilitate opportunities include conducting Engagement Forums, gathering and distributing information about latest NGO projects on our FBN platforms, telling success stories via social media and newsletters.

FairBuilding would also like to give thanks to our to dedicated companies that share our vision and mission and support our activities on a regular basis. We take pride in collaborating with Boysen and Interface.
